Learn about the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and how to find out if you have a Revolutionary ancestor.

Ever wonder if you have a Patriot ancestor who participated in the Revolution?  Many of our ancestors contributed to American independence as soldiers in the militia or the Continental Army.  But far many more supported independence by building communities as civil servants, and by acts of patriotic service including providing funds and supplies. 

The National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is a service organization with almost 200,000 members who descend from one of these brave patriots.  This workshop will provide you with the necessary tools and support to identify a patriot in your lineage and start you on your way to building the lineage links between you and the Revolutionary era.
