Join us for an evening discussion with journalist, author, and filmmaker Alex Kotlowitz.

Join us for an evening discussion with journalist, author, and filmmaker Alex Kotlowitz. For forty years, Alex has been telling stories from the heart of America, deeply intimate tales of struggle and perseverance.

His most notable books are An American Summer: Love and Death in Chicago and the award-winning bestseller, There Are No Children Here. He also won an Emmy for the 2011 documentary The Interrupters.

The chat will be moderated by Pulitzer Prize-winning Chicago Tribune columnist Mary Schmich.
