Imagine being a world away from everything you know and everyone you love, not knowing what the future holds.

Imagine being a world away from everything you know and everyone you love, not knowing what the future holds. And it’s the holidays, a time meant for celebration, not for killing. Hear stories of the men and women who stood on the front lines of World War II during December 1944 in Europe and the Pacific. Ron Eckberg—the son of one of those soldiers —intertwines the history, the individual stories of heroism and tragedy, as well as the music of the day to give his listeners a closer look and better understanding of what war during the holiday season is really like. Bring a photo of a veteran to place on the Veterans’ Tree.
