Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches you how to help someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. The training helps you identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. Cost for these sessions, along with books and materials, is FREE of charge thanks to funding received from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration SAMHSA. Must attend both sessions and register for both through Lake County Health Department's eventbrite website. Registration opens June 1st.
